Description

Chestnut seedling. Medium size – 8-12″. Chinese chestnut (Castanea mollissima). Adapted to the Midwest.
Heavy producer of medium size nuts (when mature). The nuts drop early to mid season (in KS that is September).
Starts to bear nuts at 4-5 years.

Equivalent to a 2 gallon pot size tree (which is a standard pricing for nurseries).

Unless you pick them up local, they will be shipped to you Bare root (too big to ship in a pot).

Note: You need at least two chestnut trees to ensure that they will produce nuts.
