Description

Pecan seedling – Medium size 6 – 10″. (Carya illinoensis).
Smallish to Medium sized nuts. Locally grown in NE KS and adapted to the Midwest. Grown from seed this Spring.

Equivalent to a 1 gallon pot size tree (which is a standard pricing for nurseries).
Sent to you in Bare root with soil (not in a pot).

Note: You need at least two pecan trees to ensure that they will produce nuts.
Spacing: They get really large, so you will need to plant them far enough apart. Kansas Forest Service at Kansas State University recommends planting pecans 15 feet apart for an orchard, or 8 feet apart and then thin them to the most successful trees. They may take a few years of root growth before they increase in height.
