We’ll spend an hour doing a deep dive on your property (photos, satellite maps, whatever you’ve got).
I’ll walk you through what varieties make sense for your goals, where I’d put them, how I’d space them for your equipment, and what to do about deer (because they will find your trees).
We’ll talk soil, timing, and what order to do things in so you’re not wasting a season.
You’ll leave this visit with a plan you can execute on your own.
If you want me to draw it all up into a detailed Blueprint with exact tree placement, that’s the next level, but most people at this stage just need the hour to get pointed in the right direction.

I build you a blueprint with exact tree placement, spacing for your equipment, variety selection matched to your goals and your zone, and a soil map so you know what you’re working with before you put a single tree in the ground.
You get a planting order list so you know exactly what to buy, how many, and where each tree goes. Soil prep recommendations. A deer protection plan (because a chestnut orchard without a deer strategy is just an expensive salad bar).
You’ll have everything you need to plant with confidence, or hand it to someone with a shovel or digging equipment and say “put them here.”

Hi, I’m Scott Miller, Your Chestnut Orchard Consultant.
I help Midwest landowners turn empty pasture into a productive chestnut orchard — for food, seed, and plenty to share for years to come.
In Kansas, we don’t get gentle spring rains. We get May and June thunderstorms followed by drought. Early blooms get hit by late frosts. The weather doesn’t cooperate.
My designs account for all of it — capturing water when we have it, choosing varieties that handle the swings, and fitting the layout to your land so you can plant between the trees while they’re young and still run equipment through once they’re grown.
